He holds an MBBS from Army Medical College Rawalpindi (1982-1986), a Diploma in Anaesthesiology from the Armed Forces Post Graduate Medical Institute (1990-1991), and FCPS in Anaesthesiology (1994) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. He further completed his FICS in Anaesthesiology (1998) from the International College of Surgeons, USA, and FFARCS (2000) from the Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, Ireland. He earned an MSc in Pain Medicine from Riphah International University, Islamabad (2007), a Diploma in Aero Medical Evacuation (2008) from Kazan, Russia, and an Advanced Level Certificate in Medical Education (2019) from Foundation University Islamabad. With over 34 years of multinational experience in Anaesthesia, Trauma, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine, he has served as an Advisor in Anaesthesiology and Head of the Department at Tertiary Care Hospitals in the Pakistan Armed Forces. His foreign experience includes work in KSA, England, Russia, Slovakia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, UN Mission, and Indonesia.
